The LYNX DX GROUP
wishing to promote the communications between radioamateurs and SWLs all over the world,
establish the LYNX Award and the LYNX Trophy to reward the effort
and dedication of the stations that comply with the following rules:
1- The Award" and the
Trophy will be granted to radioamateurs, all over the world, who send evidence
of contacts with a minimum of 500 points. 8 of the EA and 5 of the Latin American
countries must be included.
2- Each country on each band
count 1 (one) point. (only is admitted one QSL card by each band in each country).
If the confirmation shows that the operator is member of the LYNX DX GROUP or if the
operation is made under the LYNX DX GROUP auspices, each band worked will count 2
points. (when a point has been accredited of a band in a country already, it can be
obtained an additional point accrediting the contact that justify the double point).
3- Valid contacts are those made
on or after the 1st January 1985.
4- Modes and bands permitted by
the applicants license on HF are valid. (from 10 to 160 meters). Cross-mode or
cross-band contacts will not count.
5- Contacts with maritime or
aeronautical stations or through repeaters or transponders are not valid.
6- There are separate numeration
for each modality and other for mixed. The mixed
applications will have a group phone modes and a group not phone,
and the minus group will have, at least, 25% of the points at the accrediting moment of
the 500 points (Award) and also at 1000 points (Trophy).
7- Award" holders can
obtain endorsements at: 600, 700, 800, 850, 900, and 950 points. The endorsements
will be sent to affix on the lower part of the Award.
8- For the Trophy is
necessary 1000 points or more, from countries in the list at the time of the application.
Deleted countries must be deducted before that day.
9- As with the Award,
the Trophy holders can apply for endorsements for each 25 points from 1000
onwards. The Award and Trophy winners will be published in
the LYNX DX BULLETIN and also with their endorsement progress.
10- The holders of the
Trophy with the number of points actualized regarding the deleted countries
will be listed in the HONOUR ROLL of the LYNX publications.
The application must include the call or calls used, name, address, town/city, and country
of the operator and a signed declaration in the usual terms.
List must be alphabetically ordered by prefix and with the callsigns worked on each band.

FEES.-
Every time you send QSL cards, you need to add the necessary funds to be returned by
registered mail.
Fees at January 1st. 1997:
Diploma Lynx 500 pesetas or $4 or 10 IRC
Trofeo Lynx 5000 pesetas or $40
Applications for 1000 or more points at a time 5500 pesetas or $44 (Award +
Trophy)
Endorsement free.

DOUBLE POINTS.-
- Contacts with members of the LYNX DX GROUP, (members at the date of the QSO).
- Contacts with holders, at the QSO date, of the Insignia de Plata del LYNX
(Lynx silver button).
- Contacts with stations sponsored by the LYNX DX GROUP.
Currently the double point
station shows on the QSL card the LYNX logo. The award manager tests and gives
credit to double points. At the LYNX publications appears information about that
points.
SPANISH APPLICANTS.-
They need to send the QSL cards, with the list of QSO, application and fees, to the award
manager.
The list will be as the sample, with 3 columns: country, callsign and band.
FOREIGN APPLICANTS.-
They can send a certified list, certified by the Awards Officer of your National Society.
A five column list, as the sample, with country callsign date
band mode. The award manager can solicit one or some QSL cards,
up to 10% of the total.
