Did Atlantis really exist?

So far, there has been no proof that there was such a place. Many people have written about it for thousands of years since the writings of Plato. There has been many theories about it and where it might be. We should thank the numerious authors, who have gone to great lengths to research so much information for us. It is certainly all very interesting and hopefully someday, it will actually be proven.

We know for a fact that the Great Pyramid at Giza, is not a legend. That awe inspiring structure has been standing there for thousands of years. It has been indestructible against all weather conditions, earthquakes and wars.

The purpose and reason it was built is still a mystery. Again we must thank the many authors and also the archeoligist who have and are still researching it. I hope that we will soon find out more about it. Perhaps we will have more evidence when a new entrance can be discovered, leading to a hidden chamber of great importance.

The construction of the Ark of the Covenant was mentioned twice in fine details. The Old Testament (Exodus: Chapter 25, verses 10 - 22 and also Exodus: Chapter 37, verses 2 - 9 ).The Ark is also mentioned in the New Testament and the Koran.

It was constructed according to the instructions of GOD. It was to house the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments.

Was it a coincidence that the details of those Laws were also mentioned twice (Exodus: Chapter 20, verses 2 - 14 and Deuteronomy: Chapter 5, verses 7 - 18) ?

Throughout the wanderings of the children of Israel, the Ark was carried by the Levites (one of the twelve tribes of Israel). Whenever they camped, the ark was placed in the Holy of Holies (a sanctuary), inside the Tabernacle. The only people that were permitted to see the Holy object, were the High priests, once a year on the Day of Atonement. The ark symbolized the covenant between GOD and the children of Israel, That is why it was called the Ark of the Covenant.
