Who were the children of Israel?

According to the Old Testament, Jacob (the grandson of Abraham a Hebrew) was told on two occasions, that his name has to be changed to Israel.

Genesis, Chapter 32: verses 28 and 29. ´And he said to him, what is thy name? And he said Jacob. And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou has contended with GOD and with men, and has prevailed´.

Genesis, Chapter 35: verse 10. ´And GOD said to him, Thy name Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name : and he called his name Israel.´

Jacob (Israel) had twelve sons. They became the leaders of Israel, that formed the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob)

Their descendants became known as, The Children of Israel !

That is why the country of Israel, is so called.

So, from the descendants of Abraham, the Hebrews became the Jewish religion. Jesus too was one of them and through him Christianity was born. Mohammad created the Muslim faith and accept the true religion, as preached by Abraham.

Those Three Great religions, were formed in the Middle East. There is a possibility that many people from those religions, may in fact be descendants from Abraham. If that be the case, they too can call themselves... The Children of Israel!

After the conquest of the land, the Ark was placed in the sanctuary at Shiloh, but from time to time it was removed in order to accompany the Israelites into battle. On one occasions, it fell into the hands of the Philistines, but after they had been stricken with plagues, they returned it. King David brought the Ark to Jerusalem, and during the time of the First Temple, it was permanently housed in the Holy of Holies. The fate of the ark was wrapped up with that of the Temple, and after the destruction of the latter, the ark does not reappear. It is the subject of many legends.

The main feature in the synagogues, is a cupboard which is normally screened by a curtain. Inside the so called ark are kept the scrolls of the Old Testament which are known as the Torah.

The ancient lost relic has been the subject to much investigations. Some authors have suggest that there were copies of it. No doubt there were. Some people have actually claimed that they have even seen it (the real one or a copy ? ). Many people have looked for it, yet their searches have been unsuccessful to find the Ark of Moses ...or even a copy of it!

I had no personal interest in the Ark until 1990. Through what I believe to be paranormal means, I was informed to find it. Since then many further developments have taken place, some of which were mentioned in an article written by Robert Goodman, who I met in an unusual way.

There is no such thing as a coincidence. Many things happens for a reason. Much that has happened to me, had to happen, even to the way that the article got published.

My wife and I, visited Joyce Morgan (she is the psychic artist mentioned in the article). She requested that we visit her, as she was writing a book of her experiences. She wanted me to refresh her memory, of what transpired when we had met.

Whilst Mary and I were there, Joyce prepared tea. While I was waiting, I walked over to a pile of magazines that were laying on a table. I casually picked one of them up, it was written in Spanish, which I could not understand. I open to the middle just to glance through it and I was quite surprised when the page showed the supposed character of Moses, holding the two tablets of stone! I inquired what the story was about but none of the people there, could speak Spanish. I asked if I could borrow the magazine, hoping that I would find someone to translate it.

The following day, I faxed the publishers, requesting that I would like to have a contact number of the author, whose name is Joaquin Grau. They replied, informing me that he was on holiday but would forward my request to another journalist named Robert Goodman, an Englishman who lived in Madrid.

A few hours later, he contacted me. I mentioned that I was interested in that article, as I had been having some paranormal experiences connected to the Ark of the Covenant. When he heard this, he was very excited. He told me that he was preparing an article, regarding just that . It was certainly not just a coincidence that I contacted the magazine

He insisted to see me and that weekend he visited us. Consequently, he wrote the article. Since then he has spoken about it on one of Spain’s National radio station. Joyce too had also spoken about our encounter on a local station.

Robert is convinced, that an expedition should be made to find it. He ratifies that the evidence of psychic nature, cannot be ignored in these times, when such important institutes like NASA, use psychic methods to find missing people and objects...so why not the Ark ?
