Pedro Mª Moraza was born in Vitoria, the capital city of the Basque Country. His liking for art and painting in particular derives from his father, who introduced him to the art world during his childhood.

His anxiety of art made him go to Great Britain, where he lived for almost six years; one in London and five in South Wales. He combined work, art visiting and attending lectures imparted at such well-known centres as the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Gallery, in Trafalgar Square, London.

He returned to Spain in 1978 and decided to increase his knowledge by enrolling for the Fine Arts Studies at the University College of Arts in Bilbao in 1985. He completed his five-year course in 1989 graduating with a brilliant academic record combining the creation of image both on canvas and on video.

He was asked to design the posters for the 1st and 2nd Basque Cartographic Exhibition, as well as the brochures for these events in April 1986 and September 1987 by the Royal Basque Language Academy. For the Royal Academy, he also designed the posters for the 2nd Onomastic Conference held in Orduña (Vizcaya) in 1987 and for the 3rd Onomastic Conference and the 3rd Cartographic Exhibition in Estella (Navarra), together with their corresponding brochures in September in 1990.

He also undertook the responsibility for the poster announcing the 4th Onomastic Conference which took place in Reno (Nevada) U.S.A. in 1992. He was commissioned by the Tuna Universitaria de Vitoria (University Student Minstrels) to design the poster for their National Serenade Contest held in Vitoria in April 1994

His paintings can be found in many private collections in Spain and abroad. Public Institutions such as The University of the Basque Country (hung in the Deanery) The Bank of Vitoria (Main Office), The Caja Vital (Major Savings Bank), Txagorritxu Hospital in Vitoria-Gasteiz, etc. also own some of his paintings.

He was appointed as a member of the Royal Basque Society of the Basque Country's friends on 14th November 1994

He also collaborates and writes for various publications such as the Landazuri Elkartea Society.

Among his prospective  projects were the request made by La Coruña Port Authorities to erect a sculpture on the sea-front promenade in 1997. He has also been asked to prepare another three-dimension representation in metal by the Culture County Councillor of Alava to be placed near the Nervión river in Llodio (Alava).Nevertheless boths projects were not able to carry out.
