This Dog Has Moxie!
Tough Cookie If you and I correspond by e-mail, you know this already: Otto, the dog in this picture, is one tough cookie. He's been through three operations since last Fall. Two of them were only one week apart.

This dog is 13 years old and there was some question about his ability to even survive general anesthesia. But he surprised the vet by coming out of it alert and ready to be fed. Most dogs are pretty "woozie" for an hour or more after waking up.

Otto never cries and he never even whined after any of the operations. He coped well with wearing the "lampshade" collar that dogs usually have to wear after surgery. In fact, when he got home you couldn't tell he'd had an operation except for the lampshade and the bald areas around the sutures where the vet had shaved him. This dog's a real trouper!
