Surprise! It Snowed!
February 06

Snow, not frost
Bart and Arnie didn't seem to mind getting their feet cold and wet
During the evening of January 28th, we had a mix of snow, sleet and rain and the temperatures were just above freezing. Ambroa was having it's winter fiesta just across a field from us but we decided to stay home because of the weather.

When I got up on January 29th it was still dark but the temperature outside was 28F degrees. That's the coldest we've had all winter. I wondered how the folks in the fiesta tent had stayed warm while they were drinking and dancing until the wee hours.

At first light I saw that everything was white outside but it was still too dark to tell if it was snow or frost. At sunup I knew it was snow and I figured I ought to take a few pictures.

The road out front was slick with ice, so I reckon skipping the fiesta was a good idea. We hope everyone got home safely.
