Evening Session
The evening session begins around 10PM and may run on until 4AM or later.
Typically, the first of two bands starts playing around 11PM but folks begin arriving before that
to enjoy the bars and socialize. The bands at night are usually larger and more popular (and more
expensive) than the groups that play for the vermouth sessions in the afternoon. At night the two
bands alternate in sets about an hour long, each taking a break while the other plays.
During the summer season the more popular bands have exhausting schedules, playing for different town, village or parish fiestas almost every night. They bring their own equipment (lights, amplifiers, lighting systems, etc.) in custom-designed semi-trailers that unfold to become stages complete with scenery. They use a lot of electricity so they also bring their own dedicated diesel generators. Here are a few more photos from the fiesta: |

It was too dark to get decent photos of the evenings' activities but
believe me when I tell you that everyone enjoyed the entertainment. The enjoyment grew as the
evening progressed, perhaps because the bands played their best numbers later. The availability of
the two bars may have also had something to do with it.
