Another Medieval Bridge
April 03

A muddy road runs to the bridge and continues through the woods on the other side. There were recent tire tracks on one side of the bridge but none that we could see on the other side. The only traffic crossing the bridge is probably an occasional tractor or truck going into the woods. There's not much reason for other traffic here, since there's another (paved) road connecting both ends of this muddy road. |

Can you find the bridge in this picture?
|
Look closely. That's Marivi standing on it.

The other side. It's hard to see because it's overgrown with ivy.
|
On the other side, talking with a neighbor whose family
owns the land off to the left side of this picture. The bridge is in the background. The ground is covered with leaves (mostly eucalyptus). |

There's
a similar bridge downstream near the mouth of the
river. Oddly enough, it's located at another small settlement named Lambre. To avoid confusion, the settlement
nearer to us is sometimes referred to as "Lambre de Ambroa". |
