I may have mentioned before that I don't hold Galician drivers in very high esteem. There are probably a few who know how to handle a vehicle but the driver of this little red truck doesn't seem to be one of them.
 

When we parked on the main drag of Miño, there was a silver Mercedes parked in front of us - facing the wrong way but with all four wheels on the street. When we returned from some errands this red truck was there, instead. And I happened to have my camera with me. So I took these pictures after I checked the front of our car for possible damage. (There was none)

There are two details you might not notice in the pictures. First, there is plenty of room in front and in back of the truck, so it should have been easy to park without using the sidewalk. Second, the guy in the green safety vest (left-hand photo) is a local policeman, who seemed not to notice the way the truck was parked.

We continued on to one of our favorite cafe-bars for a cup of coffee and the truck's driver (a wine distributor) was there. We didn't talk to him but I can tell you that he did not appear to be "under the influence." So I guess he's just an average Galician driver.
