Christmas Eve 2006
January 2007

In Spain, Christmas Eve is celebrated as a religious holiday but it isn't the traditional evening for putting the kids' toys under the tree. That's done the night before Epiphany (Dia de Los Reyes), January 6th.

We spent this past Christmas Eve with friends and some of Marivi's relatives. They joined us for nice visit and a big Christmas dinner, after which we did exchange some small presents. (For example, the three men in the group received winter caps.)

Below are some photos of the group, which included:
      * Marivi's mother and sister, Rosa
      * Their cousin, Manolo, his wife Pilar, and their fox terrier, Lusa
      * Ana and Mike, the proprietors of O Prioral, a nearby Rural Hotel that, unfortunately, closed in 2010.
