Once again, the American group working with the Spanish Navy in Ferrol was kind enough to invite us to their holiday celebration. This one was a first-class 4th of July picnic in a park in Pontedeume.

We enjoyed the excellent barbecue (hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, ribs and sausages) and it was a real pleasure to visit with people from the USofA. Good food, good company ... what a great way to celebrate Independence Day!

Like much of our Spring this year, it was a gray day but I don't think anyone minded, or even noticed. After all, as you can see from these pictures, we were in the shade of some big pine trees, anyway.
